The price of a translation depends on several criteria, the main one being the number of words to be translated, but other factors are also taken into account, in particular the language combination, the subject and/or technicality of the text, the deadline and the format. Translation prices may vary from 1 to 10 according to the provider (from the mere trainee to the prestigious translation agency). Nothing guarantees that the most expensive provider will necessarily be the best, but it is likely that below a certain price, you could be taking a lot of risks with the way in which your image and message are conveyed. You should also pay attention to the services included: mere translation or a full linguistic service with revision, editorial guidance, follow-up of the different proofreading steps with your in-house teams and even layout and final checking after printing…

As in other professions, time is money with translation. So, before asking for a translation, remember the time your teams spent on writing the original document. It is vital to be realistic: I cannot translate in an hour something that took a day to write! For a good translation, it is also important not to rush things. Quality translation requires several drafts, reflection and sometimes the help of an expert on the topic. By working with me, you can be sure that I will devote as much time as is necessary to provide you with the translation you deserve!
